Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well blended.
- Pour in the buttermilk and gently stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the melted butter until just combined.
- Pour half of the remaining melted butter (1/4 cup) into a 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Spoon the biscuit dough into the prepared baking dish, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
- Score the dough into squares or rectangles using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Drizzle the remaining melted butter over the top of the scored dough.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
