Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until the chicken is well coated with the sauce.
  2. Fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it, separating it into 8 triangles.
  5. Lay out the crescent triangles on a clean surface or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, with the wide end facing you.
  6. Place a generous spoonful of the chicken Alfredo filling at the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  7. Starting from the wide end, roll the crescent dough over the filling towards the pointed end, tucking in the sides as you roll.
  8. Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spaced apart.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining grated Parmesan cheese over the top of each crescent.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  12. Transfer the crescents to a serving platter and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  13. Serve warm as an appetizer, snack, or main dish with a side salad.
  14. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven or microwave.

Notes

  • For added nutrition, consider mixing in steamed broccoli or spinach into the filling.
  • For a bit of heat, add crushed red pepper flakes to the filling.
