  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Indulge in creamy steak fettuccine pasta with tender sirloin strips in a rich garlic Parmesan sauce. This comforting dish is easy to prepare and perfect for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add a generous pinch of salt.
  2. Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes) until al dente, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest. Drizzle a little olive oil over the pasta to prevent sticking and set aside.
  4. Season the sirloin steak strips with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Add the steak strips in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  7. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Pour in 1 cup of beef broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Slowly add 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring continuously. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  10. Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
  11. Add the cooked steak back into the skillet, stirring to coat with the sauce.
  12. Gently fold in the cooked fettuccine, ensuring it’s well coated. Add more reserved pasta water if necessary.
  13. Taste the dish and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or Italian seasoning as needed.
  14. Serve generous portions onto plates using tongs.
  15. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
  16. Sit down and enjoy your creamy steak pasta dinner, ideally paired with a side salad or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Choosing the Right Steak: Sirloin is ideal, but ribeye or flank steak can also be used. Slice against the grain for tenderness.
  • Pasta Variations: While fettuccine is traditional, feel free to use any pasta shape you prefer.
